Because Google Play blocks most real-money games in India, apps like Spin 777 and Yono Rummy are installed from APK files. That is normal, but it also means you have to be careful.
Safe install steps
- Download the APK from the app’s own official link or a source you trust — not a random Telegram forward.
- Before installing, your phone will warn about “unknown sources”. Allow it only for the browser or file manager you are using, then turn it back off.
- Let Google Play Protect scan the file when prompted.
- Check the requested permissions on first launch. A rummy app needs storage and phone state (for OTP). It does not need your contacts, SMS history or accessibility services — deny those.
Spotting a fake or cloned app
- Wrong package size — if a 45 MB app suddenly downloads as 8 MB or 150 MB, stop.
- Asks for card details up front — real apps take deposits through UPI inside the app, not a web form during install.
- No withdrawal option — a fake app lets you deposit but has no working “Withdraw” button.
- Brand-new domain, no support channel — no WhatsApp/Telegram support is a red flag.
After installing
Test one small withdrawal early, before you deposit more. An app that pays ₹100 quickly is more trustworthy than one with a big bonus and no payout history.
